$240 for Guitar Hero World Tour Deluxe Band Bundle
by Andrew Machado on Oct.07, 2008, under Technology, Video Games
Want to spend $50 on a t-shirt (Male XL only), battery charger, key chain and (Guitar Hero) guitar case? Yeah, neither do I, but that’s what Red Octane is offering with the $240 Guitar Hero World Tour Deluxe Band Bundle.
The rest of the bundles are a bit more reasonable, though the price tag won’t seem so appealing to Rock Band owners who can buy the backward-compatible sequel for only $60. With that in mind, here are the prices for World Tour.
* $190 for the full band kit on PS3.
* $180 for the full band kit on PS2.
* $100 for the guitar/game bundle on PS3.
* $90 for the guitar/game bundle on PS2.
I can’t get over how much people are willing to spend on fake plastic instruments.
A Living Room Full of Fake Instruments
by Andrew Machado on Sep.10, 2008, under Video Games
This Sunday Rock Band 2 launches in a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. It blows my mind that mearly 9 months after the debut of the original a sequel is already coming out. That seems like overkill, even Electronic Arts waits a full 12 months to debut a new version of their sports titles.

So at what point does the consumer say “My Living Room is Full of Fake Instruments”?
A company called ION is debuting what they are calling “Drum Rocker”? The Drum Rocker retails for $299!!!!
It is a full featured fake drum kit for Rock Band 2 with cymbals, a kick drum amongst everything else. I can not imagine spending $299 on a fake instrument set it just seems ridiculous.
To all those who buy the new ION Drum Rocker, please leave a comment and let me know how you justified the purchase and the living room space.
